Alive or Living
This past weekend I was lucky enough to work on New York based director, Jennifer Azano's latest passion project called "Alive or Living". The story follows the main character Jane as she goes through the motions of working at a job she doesn't like and isn't passionate about. Every day starts the same, her hitting the alarm clock and not being motivated to get out of bed. We then catch Jane in the middle of a daydream, where she is partaking in wondrous activities like: running through a sunflower field, riding a horse and having fun on a beach and lighting a nighttime bonfire. All the while she is coming out of her shell and finally enjoying life.
The dream sequence is ended abruptly as she is waken from it at her desk at work. The underlying plot is her discovery of what is important in life, making money and punching the clock; or actually being happy and fulfilled. I play Jane's dream man who is drawing her to a carefree lifestyle and enjoying the "could be" lifestyle.
